11/7/2020 - hey look ma i made it!!!!!

WOWOWOWOWW Home MTC is the best thing since sliced bread! Every missionary knows that adjusting to missionary life is a ride on the struggle bus for awhile, but it is worth every speedbump. I'm blessed to have seven hours with my district each day except for my p-day (Saturday). I wish all of you could understand how awesome my district is. Each of them is spiritually mature and very thoughtful in our discussions. It's like the best efy company ever! Right off the bat I get to start in a trio. I absolutely love my companions, Sister Walker and Sister Hansen. They are spiritual giants in my eyes. Sister Walker will come to North Dakota with me! We watched a video in one of my classes called "Missionaries and the Atonement" and it was a answer to my prayers. For any of those who ask "why is it so hard" this is for you. I'll try to link it below. I still cannot believe that my "first week" of MTC is already finished. I'm grateful for my family who have made a big effort to make our home feel like a MTC. I am amazed to say I have yet to see the TV on once since I've been set apart. It's only day four and I have been humbled. There is so much I don't know. I want to offer my prayers to any family, individual, or missionary on my email list. I want to thank you all for your prayers! I have noticed them! Hey Hey Hey! We had a fun week! *Happy Birthday Sister Matthews!* Along with cowboys, Aberdeen is flooded with Karen people! It's close to Korean but it is pronounced "Ka-Riin" but they are the nicest people! We got a referral for a lady named June and was told she worked at one of the Karen Asian Markets in town so each day we hit another one to see if we can find her. No luck this week but with each store we go to I try a new food. I found that I love Aloe Water- so gooood and that Durian flavored anything is of the devil. AH IT'S SO BAD! I like most food but that is #1 in the worst foods ever created .  We lost a member of the ward to Covid-19 this last week. We had a funeral at the church and us missionaries helped out. What a crazy time to be alive. It was a tender service but as we were sitting I was just thinking about the second coming. I really think it's a lot closer than we think. 3/22/21 - TANG

The best feeling in the world is feeling the Spirit testify through you.    We met with Jana this week and we talked about a future date for baptism! It'll be a few years but she told us "Even if it takes a few years it will be worth the wait". I need more faith in people. I meet a lot of people everyday and they want nothing to do with our message. Then we find people like Jana or Nicole and I just sit in amazement in how the Spirit has been preparing this and it is not a temporary want. I most likely won't be a missionary when Jana is baptized but I will come back to witness it. We moved onto the topic of Temples and the importance of it and she shared how she was reading about the three kingdoms and how she only wanted to be in the top (Celestial). We talked about what we have to do to live there and she said "I can do that if that means I can live with Heavenly Father again". Isn't she precious?!
