Sister Barlow in Dakotas

 Hi Eve!!!!  This week has been crazy!  2nd week of Oquirrh fest. I went caroling at petersons on Saturday. Friday Grandma Milldred, Grandma, and Grandpa Barlow came over to watch elf and eat ribs.  Tell ya i have never heard Grandma Laugh more in my entire life! Thursday was the school dance. My sevie SBO told me ,``Hey ,my friend thinks you're cute, and he wants to dance with you. " So I said sure! And I was getting shoved into him and he was getting shoved into me.  Everyone was filming and It was really awkward. He was pretty cute.  He was short. And one of my friends told me he REALLY Liked me. The school dance was so FUN! My friends and I danced the hour away! It was so fun! Wednesday was Family Fun Night! It was so fun I got to bring Joey!   Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a great week!  Happy Light the World Season! I still cannot believe its December already. There's only a few little flurries of snow and it doesn't feel like Christmas Season yet. But that time will come... We got a call on Tuesday that Sister Dupaix and I will be opening two new wards starting that day. So we had to scrap all our plans and start packing to move across town and that is majority of what we did this week. I have never opened an  area before, let alone two, but we are super excited! In my 2 transfers I will have served in 4/5 wards here in Rapid City (check out transfer news farther down)  But this is cool... because now one of the areas I'm over is our beloved Sturgis! I'm super excited to be a biker sister!  Hey sis How are you? It's been real busy here, with madrigals doing our Christmas performances and rehearsals, MDT starting to kick into gear for the review with rehearsals, and Silver Rush starting as well. This year's charity is the Single Parent Project, who collect funds to help single parents in financially difficult situations. So that's dandy, and the silver rush weeks are going to be fantabulous!   Hello! Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving!  We had a great week!  Monday - District Pday! We toured Ft Mead and then had a great ole Hot Dog Roast. The weather here is so bipolar. We were so lucky because it was BEAUTIFUL all day! We met this guy named Scott. We gave him a book of Mormon and he offered to say a prayer for us on our missionary journeys! He brought out his peace pipe and we all passed it around. He sang a Lakotan prayer and MAN  the spirit was so strong! I love South Dakota Tuesday - After district council we drove down to Chadron NE to do an exchange with the sisters there. I stayed with Sister McLane (Sister Sunshine I call her) but I can't even express how much I love small towns! We had dinner with a convert family at Pizza Hut. Hey eve!!! This week was really fun!!!  Hyrum's closing night of Mama Mia was fun!! He did so well! Thanksgiving was really fun!!!! It felt really weird because not all the fam was there. Siblings day was fun. We missed you alot though. We went bowling and played video games. I had Friendsgiving on Saturday. I have found out that most girls my age are really dramatic and are addicted to drama. So I invited all guys , + cece. It was so much fun!!! no drama at all! That's kind of the new friend group now. Hey! Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving this next week!  We had a really great week!  We met a few times with our friend Shon. He met the missionaries when he was living here in Rapid City and he went to church but then he started to travel for work and the past missionaries lost track of him. Well a week or so ago we gave him a call and he wants to keep learning! We have been having lessons with him a few times a week. Let me tell you, Shon is every missionaries dream investigator. He always shows up when he says he will, he does his homework before we meet, and he always comes with questions! We LOVE teaching him! He is super open to everything we talk about! He made his first goal after our first lesson, and it was to pray 5 times a day (mornings, every meal, and night) and he's doing it! We have been teaching him over zoom (so thankful for technology!)  But we are hoping to put him on a date to be baptized this next week, but when we do, we will have to pass him o...
