11/21/20 - Give Them Heaven

Hello brothers and sisters! I am blown away! My MTC went by so crazy fast! I fly out Tuesday morning to Bismarck and AH IM SO EXCITED! I love the MTC but you do hit a point when you want to get your feet on the ground and start running. I'm so lucky! I have 3 other missionaries in my district who are flying from SLC to Bismarck with me! It'll be fun to finally meet them!

I've had a lot of very sacred experiences this week. Lots of prayers that turn into miracles, hidden gems, many tears, but it's the cost of being a missionary. I am grateful to be a part of this work. The Lord works perfectly in everyone's lives. I know he works perfectly in mine. I am so grateful to have a prophet of the Lord to lead us. President Nelson and his message this week was exactly what the world needed. I felt complete peace as I watched. I know that he is the Prophet of the Lord. It makes too much sense. You cannot deny the evidence. We are in a time and place we were meant to be. Breathe. And know the Lord is in control.

The MTC puts out a devotional each week to watch with your district. This week was from Elder Bednar and WOW! I cannot remember a time where I was more filled with revelation and the spirit! I can only describe it as a spiritual pixy stix. I have never had such an energy burst. I literally had to stand up and walk around and breathe through it. By the time it passed I was physically drained! Have you had the problem where your legs just won't move because they are so tired? It was insane! But that's the spirit. Thought provoking and energy draining.

I had my last TRC's (teaching appointments) this week. It broke my heart to tell my new friends that we won't be able to teach them due to our transfer, but to still take lessons from the missionaries. I want to be the one to teach them everything! I guess that's just the hard part. They are ready and willing to learn. They are soaking up the sweet spirit like nothing I've ever seen. I'm a firm believer that when someone knows for themselves they are child of God they become unstoppable.

My favorite quote this week has been the Standard of Truth = "The standard of truth has been erected; No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done" - Joseph Smith AH I just love this. The work will never stop! Not even a pandemic can stop it! Though we may not be able to meet in large groups missionary work will never stop! We only adjust.

I do have class on Monday, but the first set of missionaries leave Monday morning so we technically had out last class yesterday. I cannot even explain the importance of my district to me. We all come from very different backgrounds but we all united in how we want to serve the Lord. I wanted to leave on my mission asap, but when I got my call I wouldn't be leaving for another month. I remember saying to myself that everything happens for a reason. But as of now, my district is the reason. Each of them bring unique insights to our lessons and the spirit is so strong! There have been a few times that no one could talk because we all were crying so much. We've seen miracles in our district. We are so lucky to have shared so many sacred experiences together. I love them all! I can't wait to see all the lives they will impact when they are out! Go give them heaven!

I am unsure the next time I will be able to write, but until then, You are a Child of God, He is aware of you, now get on your knees and act like it
