I had the best week of my life! I apologize for a day late email. It's a fun story though
We had a Zone Pday in Pierre yesterday, so after our normal pday activities we set on our way to our destination (3hr from Aberdeen) We got there around noon and we had lunch and played a mean game of kickball and finished our zone pday with a twist off of Mafia. We called it "Deceivers''. The "citizens" are the "Nephites" and the "angel" we called the "missionary". It was so fun to be with all the missionaries! We then got the news that one of the missionaries that came was exposed to Covid-19 so our Zone leaders went into Quarantine and that messed up all the sleeping arrangements. My comps and I were supposed to stay with the STL's but with the possible exposure we had to stay in a hotel. It made for a wild ride but we had our Zone Conference this morning and it was INCREDIBLE! Here are some of my notes:
Member Missionary work is of most importance! The secret is unconditional love, even if the missionaries stop teaching them. We need to keep being friends, Because in TIME the spirit will touch them and the love they feel from his disciples will be their base testimony!
We give Satan WAY TOO much credit! We sometimes forget that being in mortality comes with trials and not everything hard and sad is the deceiver. Life is hard by design.
Our life is like Rose Quartz. First we are ragged and bumpy and then we are polished and finished! D+C124:2
I just want to share that I am SO HAPPY HERE! I felt it this week. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!
Some cool stories:
We met with Nicole this week and after our lesson we told her that once she got something under control she could be baptised on March 20th. She just lit up once she realised how close she was, she made a goal for herself to be completely in control by April 14th! Once she made the goal she kept saying "I want this," "I need this" "Heavenly father wants this for me" and it was the most tender experience. On Sunday she brought her daughter and her best friend to sacrament with her! She is literally bringing us people to teach! It was so exciting! We taught her about sacrament and before we extended the commitment she asked how to fill out the slip and where she could find them. I love her willingness to do anything for her testimony!
We met with Jana and when we sat down she shared with us how she is loving the ARP and wants to share it with her husband. She told us how she called him and bore testimony of the Book of Mormon and how only though this book and God they can be healed.
I love my girls! I need to stop doubting what people will choose. The Spirit has prepared both of them and they completely submit themselves to God's will!
On Sunday we got to speak about baptism to all the upcoming 8 year olds! They were all so excited! It was adorable!
I was messaging my friend Heely, and she asked a question about after death and we went into a SUPER DEEP conversation about the Plan of Salvation! It was difficult to learn how to be an effective missionary all online. I grew up hearing all these stories such as "I walked 20 miles in the blazing heat of the day and worked till near exhaustion" and I just can't relate. We wrap ourselves in blankets and get messaging until the break of dusk. I did strain my thumb from texting too much... but it's for the Lord.

Last of all... We were driving to an appointment and this tumbleweed the size of those giant tractor tires hit our windshield. We all screamed and it was terrifying. South Dakota is another place. Trees die and become giant tumbleweeds, and hit the sister missionaries' car. not cool SD
We hit 50 degrees and it is now SUMMERRR, who cares about spring. It was nice and toasty perfect for walks.
