4/12/21 Badgers, Bears, Wolves, Oh My!

Well I stand by my claim that I have never seen so many shades of brown in one state. I shouldn't be surprised, we aren't apart of the great PLAIN(S) for nothing.... hold your applause...

Life is so busy in Bismarck. From moving to a town with about 26,000 to almost 130,000 I feel like there are way too many people here. But then again it's

more people we get to talk to!

Sister Walker got to come stay with Sister Myers and I for a few days this week! Bismarck is a central place for the mission so there are always missionaries staying with us who are traveling! I MISSED HER SO MUCH! Sister Johansen stayed with us later this week too! I love getting to meet all the missionaries!

We had a cool miracle this week. On Wednesday we called the Pharmacy to schedule a time to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and the lady on the phone told us that if we came right now she could give us the Johnson&Johnson one. We arrived and all three of us got our vaccines! We are feeling super blessed to be able to receive them and that the one we wanted was available! Sister Myers has had no side effects but my arm is still a bit swollen and red but LIFE IS GOOD!

We also were given the opportunity to go and serve in the Bismarck Zoo! You may think, what could be in a North Dakota Zoo? Well, I asked the same thing. I get the feeling that they just trapped whatever was in their backyard and stuck it here. Our service was to rake leaves to prepare for their opening. But I thought it was cool to see North American animals. They had these GIANT bears! Good grief they were huge. And I know they are a lot meaner than they look, but the badgers were by far the star of the show. They looked like little pancakes of fur with big eyes! Other animals they had in the zoo were owls, wolves, hawks, racoons, and goats. So anyways... it puts all other zoo's to shame...

The meeting with the North America Central Missions went great! I'm glad they're over haha. Most stressful 3 slides of my life. But as a whole the NDBM shared a lot and the practice rehearsals helped so much!

MUSIC TIME! I hope many of you have heard David Archuleta's new song "I Know He Lives" because if not, listen to it now! I was inspired and am now making an arrangement of it for cello instead of guitar so hopefully post on Facebook. The Lord shows many miracles to me. The rhythm is not too difficult, but I never took any music theory class so composing is way out of my comfort zone. I prayed before I started, and the rhythm just made sense! I was able to finish about 75% of the cello/guitar part in under 30 minutes. MIRACLES!

A lot of this transfer is far fetched from my comfort zone. I don't know the area, or the members and am trying to give my trainee a good experience. The Lord definitely loves his children here in Bismarck. I can really feel it!

This last week was wild. I hit my 5th month and am now onto my 6th! Lot's of miracles I've seen but it has been interesting because we have started praying to have the eyes to see the miracles and we do!

I hope you all had a wonderful week! Pray to see miracles!
