4/5/21 - BISMARCK BB

Wow has it been a week? it's been the longest short week of my life!

So many miracles this week! Do you remember the story of how they forgot to tell me I was transfering? Well that comes into play. The following Sunday I decided that if i was going to stay another transfer that I was going to CRUSH THE DREAMS of the deceiver and I messaged SO MANY PEOPLE. One of the ladies I messaged who didn't leave me on read names is Shirely. We didn't get to talk too much but she told me she knew a few missionaries who were in Aberdeen before and it brought a really cool conversation about the Book of Mormon, I then invited her to watch Conference and the conversation died down. I was in Aberdeen till Wednesday and on Tuesday night one of the members in Aberdeen wanted to celebrate my last night so they took us out to Tokyo for some hibachi! We sit down at the grill table then I see a cute lady walk into our room and she asked if any of us missionaries' name was Eve (When you message people it;s hard to get the point across that you go by Sister because they just see you first name on facebook). But anyway, I raised my hand and she smiles and IT'S SHIRELY! I went over and we talked for a few minutes and broke the news that I was leaving but that she should definitely watch General Conference! She graciously accepted and told me that she has a few Book of Mormons around her house from other missionaries and that she is thinking that these are all signs from God to start reading it! I was just as giddy as could be. I sat back down at our table and sweet Shirley brought us some free desserts to try! It gets even better! I messaged her after the conference and she WATCHED ALL 4 SESSIONS and took notes and said that she wants to raise her future kids with a knowledge of Jesus Christ, just like was shared in the conference! Itm was so cool!

I traveled to Bismarck Wednesday morning and let me tell ya... traveling with a cello is not for the heavy packers. but, another miracle. Everything fit! I felt bad for the poor elders loading my luggage into the T-van. They were full of sheet music and shoes and basically wasy too heavy. But then again, the lord gave then literal strength.

I am here in Bismarck and my new companion is Sister Myers! She is from Yuba City CA! She's a doll. I get to finish out her training! I will say, being in a new area makes me feel like a new missionary. I don't know the members and the area so driving has been garbage. I;ve hit so many curbs it's a joke. Sorry Tiwi.

This week was full of lots of adjustments but then as usual there is the unexpected. I got a call from one of our social media specialist missionaries and was asked to give a quick presentation to the North America Central Area missions about using Music in our finding. I wanted to pass away when I was offered. But we accepted and now my week is going to be a lot of rehearsing lol. Good thing that Sister Myers is so patient.

GENERAL CONFERENCE!

okay wow! best hours of my life!

The first session we met with one of our friends at the library and took one of the study rooms and watched the first hour with her! She had a lot of questions and talked the whole way through but I think she really liked it! We watched the afternoon session at our apartment and I love that because I got to sit in a blanket for two hours. One of the perks of being in Bismarck is that we are 10 minutes away from the mission home so we went over for dinner with all the other Sister's in Bismarck! We watched Easter morning with some members and then in the afternoon we had planned to watch with some recently baptised but they weren't home :(

I loved the theme of inclusion and being kind! I think the world needed that. So many talks were good and so powerful! The one that hit home for me was Elder Eyrings! I've missed the temple. Though I've only gone once I really do want to go back soon!
