10/11/21 i believe in bigfoot

Alright I'm going to try to make this one a big shorter than my usuals. Time is sacred.

We had a pretty slow week in canyon lake. But we made it! We sadly didn't grow our teaching pool, so we are still at 1. But we did find some solid potentials! So that is a blessing!

We had 2 great miracles!

Matt from Brazil- We met him and his father on Mt Rushmore and I shared that my sister and bro-in-law served as missionaries there and we had this whole conversation about Christ! The dad said that Matt, his son, was at the Army base here. which is concidunscly right next the church! We invited them both to come and they were both thrilled saying they've been trying to find a church to go to! So anyways, Matt and his dad may come to church and Sister Martin and I are STOKED

Samuel - We ran over a nail and our tire was a goner so we took it into the shop and we walked around downtown Rapid City hoping to get to talk to people. It didn't work out too well cuz it was 2pm on a Wednesday and no one was out. But we had hope. We walked into Who's Toy Shop and there were a few people so we passed out some stickers but they didn't want to learn more. :( But then Sister Martin was feeling the spirit and went up and talked to this guy named Samuel and his Daughter Izzy. We talked a bit about religion but then it died and he left. So we walk outside now sitting by the fountain just praying for us to know where to go. Then out of nowhere, Samuel and his daughter come over to us and ask questions about our church for nearly 20 minutes! We got his number and we are hoping to hear back from him soon.

We have been encouraged to get out in the community more so Sister Martin and I obey and we go to the Rapid City Farmers Market. We meet Deb who recognizes us as missionaries and we learn that she has talked to missionaries but is not interested,  but always prays for us! (isn't that so cute!) She was selling Dandelion bread! We bought a loaf and it turns out Dandelion bread is MANNA from heaven. The flower of the dandelion tastes like honey. I am loving this prairie life through and through.

Last pday we had a Sisters Pday and we drove through Spearfish Canyon! It was SO PRETTY! I would move here.
But we get a call from some elders in our zone at 6:58am (mind you our alarm goes off at 6:30am) and invites us on a hiking trip with their district! They were meeting at the church at 7am but we made them wait for us. We hiked Black Elk peak/ridge/summit (whatever the name was) but they didn't tell us till we were already up there it was going to be 7 miles! I love myself a good walk in nature but all day on my pday) We found a shortcut that knocked off 3 miles but i kid you not it was straight up. My legs are dead. It was beautiful and breathtaking! #highestpeakinsouthdakota

We drove through the Black Hills a bunch this week and as we drove I just felt like if Bigfoot were to actually live, I wouldn't be surprised. He's got some good places to hide. Maybe one of the 3 Nephites? But a giant? idk. All food for thought.

I love this church and I am so grateful I get to be a part of the work! God loves you! Don't forget it!
