HEY HAHA WHAT A CRAZY WEEK!
Transfer week has come and gone. I am staying in Bismarck but now Sister Erdmann gets to join me! We are both STL's and have no idea what we are doing lol. But the Lord provides...
okey.. so we definitely left the mission again... but this time... we left the country...
ALL ON ASSIGNMENT! My mission President told us too. We were given the opportunity to go and help fix up the Peace Gardens! For those who have never heard of it (this was me haha) there is a big garden that goes over the USA and Canada border and there is the big beautiful garden! There could be another frost so we were just helping rake leaves and prune trees. It's about the 3.5 hour drive from Bismarck so we left at 7am and worked till 4 and drove back. We had to stop by Rugby ND because it is the center of North America! the North Dakota mission may not be the most exciting but we have the most flexs. *peep our giant turtle
Sister Erdmann is the communication missionary so she works with all the newspapers and press and I have never seen someone write so many articles in an hour. SHE IS BOSS! It will be fun working with both of our responsibilities!
Brother Brad Wilcox gave our mission a really cool devotional yesterday! He talked about Grace. I have been wanting to do a big study on grace but I could not figure out where to start! my major notes:
- the difference between "proffers" and "offer", proffer: is given to us in our hands whether we like it or not
- Grace: the power that enables us to change and be transformed, God using his priesthood directly to you,
- God gives me grace so I can do all that I can do
- Other religions think that we don't believe in Grace, We do but where we differ is salvation!
Life is so good. I finally feel like I am adjusted. I love North Dakota! I love open spaces! I love clouds! I love that Jesus thought of to make a place with nothing so we can appreciate the simplicity! I love being a representative of the Lord!
Want to know what a North Dakota road trip feels like? Listen to Pilot Me by Josh Garrels and imagine looking at fields of wheat, then a nice bug gust of wind that smells of bison hits you.. Welcome to ND
