8/23/21 South of the Canadian Border...

HEY this has been the most STELLAR week!

Let's start with Nicole. She was baptized on the 19th! Her program for baptism came together pretty quickly because our members are so awesome! We got it all ready and she had 41 people at her baptism!! that's so much!! We had so many members come who've helped out in lessons and she felt so loved. Inclusive members make all the difference. We try to make the water in the font as warm as we can but it's rough because it takes a few hours to fill. We were not hopeful, but she gets in the font and then screams "HECK THIS IS HOT" and the water was indeed, heckin hot. Baptism by fire am I right? Both she and the Elder baptizing adjusted to the temperature and she was baptized! She was glowing! I could not be prouder of her. She has changed so much and is already starting to see the blessings of being baptized.
After her baptism we hosted Volleyball for the community. We decided that that was a great time to surprise Nicole with a Birthday party! All our volleyball friends came and we had cake and ice cream and it was a perfect day! She felt so loved. That makes me happy.
Nicole was confirmed in Sacrament meeting yesterday! She was so excited all morning! She was given the most incredible blessing and she was just a light! She is so excited to get a calling. I'll keep you posted!

We had the Bismarck Zone Conference this last Tuesday. It's different that the other ZC I've been to but it was so needed. We were taught a lot about opening our mouth and teaching when you find! For our ZL/STL training we decided we needed to find the balance between high love and high expectations. We talked about how we can love each other and how it then rubs off on the people we teach. We then made them do an exercise where They had to split up as a companionship and go with another missionary and then share 3 things they loved about their companion. Then when they were done they would switch back and then tell the missionary why their comp loves them. It was cool to look around see everyone smiling! We are finally starting to make this Zone FULL OF LOVE!

Want to hear a miracle. Buckle up.
We made our weekly goals as normal. Nothing too different then past weeks.
Our zone goal for new people to teach was 16. Not too high, not the lowest I've seen as a missionary. It's average. We have been praying hard to find families to teach and since our last Zone Conference, we've been more proactive about opening out mouths. Now.. I kid you not... By Sunday night.. the Bismarck Zone has found.. not 20... not 30... BUT 40 PEOPLE TO TEACH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! You have no idea how much of a miracle this was! Are we a South America mission???Nope! Just south of the Canadian Border!  We are so ridiculously blessed! Sister Erdmann and I found 7 people to teach in out companionship! the first 4 were a family that we found from a google Ad! After our first lesson with them, the mom asks us "what do I need to do to get my kids baptized"!! The second family we have been trying to get ahold of for a few weeks! They came to church out of the blue! MIRACLE CRAZY!

I cannot miss the opportunity to wish my Great Grandmother Mildred a happy 100th bday today! *the restoration happened 2 of you ago ;) love ya!

The Lord is so good to care so much about his brother and sisters

Love yall!
