 HEY! Thank you for joining my email chain. For those who are just here the pictures, you are excused now. jk, but here's the scoop.


We have had an insane but mellow week. We've had moments when everything was happening, and then nothing and we are still catching our breath

We have been so excited since our big miracles of finding so many people to teach last week! One of our families has sadly fallen off the face of the earth,every time we go and visit their home is empty and dark and you cut just hear that cats in their home knocking everything over. Kinda spook. It was sad though, this was the family that wanted to get baptized. So we are not losing hope. 
On the other hand, We have been able to get a hold of our other family! One night I had the feeling to give them a call and the mother answered and asked if we would come over and teach a bit. We arrived and the family was struggling and wanted to feel that peace that we can find in his scriptures. It was an impromptu lesson but the spirit led the whole thing. I am so proud of these people. it's not easy changing your thoughts and behaviors to line up with Gods. But they try and that's what is important.

Did someone say DJ Barlow? because now I'm DJ Sister Barlow. I was asked to learn how to "edit audio" for our videos we produce. A lot of our skilled missionaries who have done them before have gone home so they are now left to have someone, me, try to learn how to make it sound good. I have no experience. But I now have the software, and am ready to autotune everything. I was watching some training courses and listening to some before and after examples. Turns out you can't really tell much of a difference between both of them. Please send prayers because I have a lot to learn.   

It was one of our dear Sisters Birthdays on Saturday. She had told us she loves Tea Parties and Sister Erdmann and I planned a Tea Party/Sisters Lunch for her. We got all the senior couples in on it and we had our other sisters bring food. It was all looking like it was going to work out great! But then our sisters got stuck in traffic with the food, and the OFFICE WAS LOCKED so we couldn't get in to set up, and the birthday sisters came early so I had to distract them while Sister Erdmann and Murri set it all up. Basically it was insane for 1.5 hours while we were calling missionaries trying to get a key into the office and find food that would suffice. In the end, it all worked out. I guess she picked up on our suspiciousness. But we had a great time. 

I love being a missionary! God is so intune with everyone's lives, especially mine.

Hey Hey Hey! We had a fun week! *Happy Birthday Sister Matthews!* Along with cowboys, Aberdeen is flooded with Karen people! It's close to Korean but it is pronounced "Ka-Riin" but they are the nicest people! We got a referral for a lady named June and was told she worked at one of the Karen Asian Markets in town so each day we hit another one to see if we can find her. No luck this week but with each store we go to I try a new food. I found that I love Aloe Water- so gooood and that Durian flavored anything is of the devil. AH IT'S SO BAD! I like most food but that is #1 in the worst foods ever created .  We lost a member of the ward to Covid-19 this last week. We had a funeral at the church and us missionaries helped out. What a crazy time to be alive. It was a tender service but as we were sitting I was just thinking about the second coming. I really think it's a lot closer than we think. 3/22/21 - TANG

The best feeling in the world is feeling the Spirit testify through you.    We met with Jana this week and we talked about a future date for baptism! It'll be a few years but she told us "Even if it takes a few years it will be worth the wait". I need more faith in people. I meet a lot of people everyday and they want nothing to do with our message. Then we find people like Jana or Nicole and I just sit in amazement in how the Spirit has been preparing this and it is not a temporary want. I most likely won't be a missionary when Jana is baptized but I will come back to witness it. We moved onto the topic of Temples and the importance of it and she shared how she was reading about the three kingdoms and how she only wanted to be in the top (Celestial). We talked about what we have to do to live there and she said "I can do that if that means I can live with Heavenly Father again". Isn't she precious?!
