8/9/21 Thy Will Be Done

 Hey! 


Thanks for hoppin in to my weekly update.

I hit my 9 months on Wednesday! I am both amazed and alarmed because that means I only have 9 months left to really work hard! 

Thank you all for the prayers! I am almost back to 100% from my concussion. #sogratefulfordoctors  We got a call from one of our members whose friend just got a concussion and they thought I could relate to them. So pray that we are able to start teaching this person! I guess if I needed a concussion to relate to one of Gods children, there have been stranger things that have happened. hahah thy will be done

Since I've not fully back to normal yet I am not cleared to teach lessons because it'll make me "think too much" lol so the other sisters here in Bismarck have been so patient and have switched comps with me and taught my lessons all week while I "rest my brain" Its crazy but I guess its necessary. But we have seen so many miracles coming from these lessons! 

We were going to have to have the big talk with our friend Nicole about either keeping her commitments or we can't teach her as much as we have. So Sister Erdmann and Sister Unsworth taught her lesson and she asked for a priesthood blessing beforehand so we had some members there too. I guess they had the big talk and then she had the blessing and for the first time she felt the spirit! She then asked "what do I need to do to be baptized" AND THEY PUT HER ON DATE FOR AUGUST 19TH!!!! I am so proud of our girl Nicole! I got to sit in on her lesson yesterday and we went over commandments and she was so filled with faith to start living all the commandments God has given! She is so cool! 

God has a plan for each of his children. 
God works through the weak and simple. I am so grateful for the gospel and for the mere glimpse of his plan we are able to see.

Hey Hey Hey! We had a fun week! *Happy Birthday Sister Matthews!* Along with cowboys, Aberdeen is flooded with Karen people! It's close to Korean but it is pronounced "Ka-Riin" but they are the nicest people! We got a referral for a lady named June and was told she worked at one of the Karen Asian Markets in town so each day we hit another one to see if we can find her. No luck this week but with each store we go to I try a new food. I found that I love Aloe Water- so gooood and that Durian flavored anything is of the devil. AH IT'S SO BAD! I like most food but that is #1 in the worst foods ever created .  We lost a member of the ward to Covid-19 this last week. We had a funeral at the church and us missionaries helped out. What a crazy time to be alive. It was a tender service but as we were sitting I was just thinking about the second coming. I really think it's a lot closer than we think. 3/22/21 - TANG

The best feeling in the world is feeling the Spirit testify through you.    We met with Jana this week and we talked about a future date for baptism! It'll be a few years but she told us "Even if it takes a few years it will be worth the wait". I need more faith in people. I meet a lot of people everyday and they want nothing to do with our message. Then we find people like Jana or Nicole and I just sit in amazement in how the Spirit has been preparing this and it is not a temporary want. I most likely won't be a missionary when Jana is baptized but I will come back to witness it. We moved onto the topic of Temples and the importance of it and she shared how she was reading about the three kingdoms and how she only wanted to be in the top (Celestial). We talked about what we have to do to live there and she said "I can do that if that means I can live with Heavenly Father again". Isn't she precious?!
