9/13/21 bye bye bizzy

 HEY! So super awesome week. By far the craziest week yet. But I am so Happy! I love doing the Lord's work! 


Idk who, but someone thought it was a smart idea to schedule one last exchange with each set of sisters. We found out just last week that we also cover the Dickinson Sisters, and they never told us,  so our bad. So we haven't been caring for them all transfer AH but we got it figured out and we had a fun exchange! 
We met with the Dickinson Sisters at Salem Sue, the largest fake cow in the world. North and South Dakota are full of these roadside attractions because as you drive there's nothing to look at so they make large statues of random things to cure your boredom. But anyways, Sister Johnson and I stayed in Bismarck and I adore this Sister. She is such a light! Pray that she will get to go to the Netherlands (her original assignment) very soon! 
We finished our exchange and once we switched back companions we switched with our Office Sisters! Back to back exchanges! I would love to go into detail but all of our sisters are heaven sent and are such great examples of diligence for me! During our dinner hour Sister Wessman taught me how to solve a rubix cube and I LEARNED IN 30 MINUTES! Let September 8th be known as the day Sister Barlow solved a rubix cube by herself! Sister Lupus stayed with us and we got the privilege of dropping her off at the airport at 3am to fly to Brazil! All my friends are leaving ;(
After that exchange Sister Erdmann and I got back together and we spent the night at our apartment and exchanged with our last set of Sisters the next morning. Sorrella Unsworth left this morning for Italy. I love that I've been able to meet so many reassignment missionaries but it's not cool when they just "leave". I'm excited for them but it's sad not getting to serve with them anymore. 

Meanwhile, during our crazy week, Our friends decide to Ghost us :( But on the other hand a few of our friends are willingly keeping their commitments! I love people! 

And the sad part of the week. We got transfer news. I have been here in Bismarck for 4 Transfers (24 weeks). That's a decent long time to be in the area so I knew I was going to leave. But the fun news is that I will be serving in RAPID CITY! I get to train again WAHOO! And even better news is that Sister Erdmann is coming to Rapid City too! I knew they couldn't tear us apart. But you see, that means they are taking us both out of our area. WHITEWASH! The sisters coming in are not going to know anything but what's in our area book! Bless them. 3 of the 7 sets in Bismarck are being whitewashed too. Only 2 missionaries in all of Bismarck are staying here! So please pray for our area! We know they will be fine, I just worry for our friends. 
We will be driving the 5.5 hours south to Rapid City on Wednesday so please pray for our safety! In return ill grant you with lots of pictures of Mount Rushmore. 

We are preparing for a mission conference with Elder Sakehema and Elder Gifford Nielson, and in prep we are studying Alma 17-27 and can I say, these men are incredible. Their story is so inspiring. I would invite you all to start studying these chapters and ask yourself how Ammon cares for the people and relate that to your ministering back home :) 
I'm currently in Alma chapter 21 and I love the idea of "laying down all weapons of rebellion". Once we are truly converted to Christ we will have no want to do evil! What a cool measuring tool!

Hey Hey Hey! We had a fun week! *Happy Birthday Sister Matthews!* Along with cowboys, Aberdeen is flooded with Karen people! It's close to Korean but it is pronounced "Ka-Riin" but they are the nicest people! We got a referral for a lady named June and was told she worked at one of the Karen Asian Markets in town so each day we hit another one to see if we can find her. No luck this week but with each store we go to I try a new food. I found that I love Aloe Water- so gooood and that Durian flavored anything is of the devil. AH IT'S SO BAD! I like most food but that is #1 in the worst foods ever created .  We lost a member of the ward to Covid-19 this last week. We had a funeral at the church and us missionaries helped out. What a crazy time to be alive. It was a tender service but as we were sitting I was just thinking about the second coming. I really think it's a lot closer than we think. 3/22/21 - TANG

The best feeling in the world is feeling the Spirit testify through you.    We met with Jana this week and we talked about a future date for baptism! It'll be a few years but she told us "Even if it takes a few years it will be worth the wait". I need more faith in people. I meet a lot of people everyday and they want nothing to do with our message. Then we find people like Jana or Nicole and I just sit in amazement in how the Spirit has been preparing this and it is not a temporary want. I most likely won't be a missionary when Jana is baptized but I will come back to witness it. We moved onto the topic of Temples and the importance of it and she shared how she was reading about the three kingdoms and how she only wanted to be in the top (Celestial). We talked about what we have to do to live there and she said "I can do that if that means I can live with Heavenly Father again". Isn't she precious?!
