9/6/21 Flip a Biscuit

Hey! I hope you all are having a fun and safe Labor Day!

We have hit this point in time that more and more missionaries are being allowed to return to their original assignment! Super exciting , but also its a big panic for the NDBM. Most of our leadership and special assignments were given to the reassigned missionaries so when we find out they are leaving, we have a week to train a new specialist. It's not impossible, but it does produce challenged in how much faith we have to do the work from ground 1 again. .
This week all our missionaries heading to Canada left. We housed some sisters and took them to their airport at 3am on Thursday. I'm excited for them!
Monday night I was talking with one of our Canada assigned missionaries, and she was sharing how before the mission she cut hair and then I asked her (just curious) if she brought her tools with her. I was in luck cuz she then ran to her bags and brought out her scissors!  The decision to cut 8 inches off my hair was then committed and now my hair is gone. Mid Mission Crisis? Maybe. But we have passed the point of no return. Someone send help for how to do short hair. hahahhahhah

Sister Erdmann is the biggest prankster good grief. We go to District Council and the first group of missionaries that walk in she asks me "What do you want to do for your birthday?" (it's not my birthday) and then all the missionaries wished me a happy birthday and sing to me as I'm tying to tell them it's not my birthday, which they thought was just modesty. But then throughout the whole day, I kept getting birthday messages as the word passed around our zone. what the heck. Worst prank ever. She thought it was hilarious.  Its funny for me now hahah

My favorite miracle of the week: We finally were able to get ahold of a referral from comeuntochrist.org. The referrals we get from the website usually are not that solid. They either are impossible to get ahold of, or they say it was a mistake that we reached out. But we've had Anne on our contact list for a month! We decided to drop by one last time and by miracle she was home! She let us in and we talked a lot about God and her life. She shared with us that since her divorce she's felt spirits of the adversity stay with her. We talked about the priesthood and brought a member to dedicate her apartment the next day. I wish I could express how her apartment felt before. I could see what she meant, but she had the faith to rid herself of these spirits. He dedicated the home and you could feel the distinct difference. The room almost seemed brighter after the dedicatory prayer. She could feel it to. She then got a blessing and you could see that weight lift off of her. The Priesthood is so awesome. We are such a loved people to be able to use it
As we were getting to know Anne she was telling us the story of how her daughter was in school to be a Nun and then dropped out and became a Mormon and how she "flipped a biscuit" when she found out. But now she wants to see what it's all about

Another awesome miracle of the week is that our friend Mecere came to our youth activity night! She met some girls there who were her age and was invited to attend the member dinner with Sister Erdmann and I! Members who look out for our friends make my heart sing.

Favorite chapter of the week: Alma 17
This chapter just gets me excited

Love ya!
