BUSY BUSY BUSY. But Christmas break now
That is all.
Oh, I almost forgot, I was asked to rewrite the Grinch for an assignment. He had to steal something that wasn't Christmas, and while I was looking for inspiration among memes, I found this picture. It's become rather popular, and I think you should hear it.
Here it is!
How the Grinch stole Thiccness
All the people down in Vegas loved Thiccness a lot
But the grinch up north in Utah, well, he did not
The Grinch hated thiccness, thickness was treason
And if you listen close now, I’ll tell you the reason.
You see, the Grinch didn’t have that much of a kaboose
And his pants were always a little too loose
He looked like a stick, a walking light pole
With no cake of his own, his heart had a hole
The other kids scoffed at his lack of a rump
He had no real friends and was down in the dump
Then he got an idea! An awful idea!
The Grinch got a wonderfully awful idea!
He would concoct a new medicine, a way to burn fat
And then make all the thicc kid’s booties go flat
To the city of sin, he left with proud posture
And dumped all the fat burner into the water!
He fled with glee, his plan was in motion
To slim up the show girls with his miracle potion
Up north on a mountain he watch with excitement
To see his revenge and feel the delightment
But to his chagrin, when the sun did rise
The morning light shown on their happy surprise!
Everyone was now in perfect health
A city wide miracle to them had been dealt
They cheered and they drank up their nasty brown goo
And sulking back home, the Grinch said “Oh, poo”
How were they happy? He’d taken their cake
He was sure they’d no reason to celebrate
Lost in his sorrow the Grinch ate his feelings
But it wasn’t the tangerines he was peeling
He ate all the ice cream and fatty beef stew
He ate all the nuggets of dino theme too
And when he stood up and to his great surprise
His now fat filled cheeks was what met his eyes
He jumped for joy, but couldn’t leave the ground
It seemed he had gained a couple of pounds
Great big cheeks the thickness can give you
But diabetes are far more likely to kill you
Well, merry Christmas!

OQUIRRH FEST IS AMAZING!!!! At the beginning of this week we had 10,000 half way to our goal. we had 3 days to raise another 10,000 ( because we had a snow day. ) On the day of the closing assembly we had $19,275.57 SOOO CLOSE!!! As soon as the teachers found out how close we were to our goal they pulled out the remainder of their money from their wallets!!!!! SO for the first assembly we had 19,275.57, but then for the last assembly we had $20,243.57!!!!!! IT WAS A MIRACLE!!!! I cried at the very last assembly! It just proved a point to me that us kids can really make a difference in someone's life. I worked on Friday and Saturday.
Sami got hit on by a drunk guy. It was weird. ANYWAY! YAYAYAYAYAY CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!! I only work two times again! I work on Monday and Tuesday! I Probably won't see you :(
I LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!

Sweet Eve,
WE HAVE YOUR CELLO! Mari and I picked it up from Heather Friedli today. She is so nice...and she LOVES you! (We also got your backpack. On the way home, Mari started going through your stuff. That's a cute blanket and beads! We put all of it up in Dad's office, formerly known as your home MTC. It was really fun to meet and talk to some people from your mission. They added some new stickers to your cello case. The biggest, most obnoxious one is a bumper sticker that says "Where the Heck is Wall Drug". They said you would know what that meant.... Mari gave one of their daughters some stickers. They've been texting for a few days now (I think she's the 12 year old). Super nice people!
I'm so excited to be on Christmas break! I'm so thankful to be getting some things done. Mari has a piano recital tomorrow (we excused Hyrum from participating in piano lessons for December because of his busy schedule). Mari has not had much time to practice either, so Paula gave her a REALLY EASY song. She's not thrilled, but it will do the trick. My choral concert went well. I'm glad nothing too crazy happened. You never know with Carden Ha Ha!
On Christmas day we will have the Sister Missionaries here to hang out for a few hours. They are coming to play games and "graze" (since they are only allowed one meal with members on Christmas we are justifying feeding them by snacking while we play games). One of the Sisters won't be getting a Christmas package from her family...so guess what we are doing.... We will deliver it to their house anonymously by Christmas Eve. She was saying how she really misses her Christmas PJ onesie so we think we found a really fluffy pink/rainbow unicorn onesie for her...it's the only kind that will get here before Christmas.
We sent off your Christmas package. UPS said it would probably get there Monday, Dec. 20. I put together a small gift sack for Sister Wessman in your box. It has her name on the tag, but everything else is for you. When your box comes, feel free to open it...but don't open any of the wrapped gifts until we can watch you open them. There's a lot of random stuff in there, stuff that you don't have to bring back home with you...just enjoy it in the moment and leave it there. We also sent Sister Erdmann a package...in rural Montana. I hope all of you Sister Missionaries feel loved.
We love you so much!

Mom
Millie,
We hope you are having success with your area and are working well with your WMLs. Our Sisters are struggling to include the WMLs into their work. It had been a week of coaching and trying to find a better way.
Hyrum had some success this week. He came up with his Grinch poem and everyone at school loved it. He was able to share i t with the student body as part of Silverrush. It went over well for him. We are thinking we will make it our family talent for Christmas Eve this year. We plan to find some way for Hyrum and Mari to act it out. Dad has asked us all to get the booster vaccine before we come to Christmas Eve. It does not make much sense as it takes two weeks for the vaccine to be effective. We are still going to be obedient and get the booster on Tuesday. We plan to feel crummy for 24 hours and hopefully recover in time for Christmas Eve.
The Sisters will be coming over for Christmas. In this mission they are allowed one meal and can't make it known that they don't have plans for Christmas. We invited them over and plan to play games. One of the Sisters does not sound like she is getting a lot of support from home. She will likely not get a Christmas present in time. We just went on Amazon and got her a few things. We need to know when you might try to call on Christmas so we can plan their visit around that. It sounds like they might come over in the morning.
Everyone is off for Christmas break but me. I still need to log in but I don't know what I'm doing this week. There are not a lot of advisors to support this week. I don't mind sitting around but I prefer to be earning my keep. It is a weird few weeks to try and do what I do.
I have been asked to come up with a training for the Elder's Quorum Presidency and RS Presidencies for our Ward Conferences. I'm interested in your suggestions on what I should be prepared to share with these leaders. I have some thoughts on how to work with the WMLs, how to work with the missionaries and how to implement/execute a Ward Mission Plan.
Love you kid and super proud. Stay safe and warm. Do your part and good things will happen. They always do.
Love,
Dad
