Sister Barlow in Dakotas

Well hello my loves! My aplolgies for a late email! We had a chstmas party in Fargo yesterday so we spent the whole day up there! My mileage for the week was only 434, not too bad. It was another great week here in Aberdeen! In order to make our mission baptism goal we are praying for miracles and BOY did the Lord provide! We are wanting more people to join us for sacrament meeting so we've been inviting everyone and their goldfish to come. I'm still getting use to using Facebook to find people but we trying! I've been messaging people but I keep chickening out inviting them to church. In one of my conversations I decided to full send and invite this woman I was talking to and she ACCEPTED and asked if she could bring her boyfriend!  We met Jay while volunteeting at our thrift store. He's from Chicago and has the most swag I've ever seen. We are teaching him and we invited him to read the BOM and is loving it! He wants to start a Chicago inspired resturant in Abe...

Heyyyyo Sister Barlow This week has been pretty crazy. The auditions went good! I didn't make callbacks but that's ok. Dance auditions were rough. The dance was really hard, but I tried. How has your week gone? I got to have a late night with a friend that I haven't seen since rona started. It was really fun! Is the weather cold in South Dakota? Well everyone I've made it to the field! You think my mission looks big on a map well you should try driving it lol. I arrived to my mission with 15 other missionaries! You should of seen our herd walking through the airport Haha.  I love my mission president and wife! They are absolutely the best people I've ever met! It was cool to meet 3 members from my MTc district this week! It was comforting to see some familiar faces. On Wednesday we got in our mission travel busses and headed to mount Rushmore in rapid city for thanksgiving! I HAD THANKSGIVING AT MOUNT RUSHMORE! Well it was a church near by, but it was fun to sightsee before heading to our areas. The next day we drove back to bismarck for transfers. I wouldn't be leaving till Saturday so bless all the sisters who let me camp out in their apartment all week. I was assigned to ABERDEEN, SOUTH DAKOTA! just about the cutest town I ever did see. Sister Barlow This is the first week after you've been gone, and I don't know if anything is supposed to have changed. I'm going back to school, at least, for now. I don't know how long that is going to last though, because everyone did Thanksgiving with their families. cases are higher than ever. I had a panic today when I remembered that auditions for Matilda were on monday! I'm pretty sure they're on the 7th now, but that was an anxiety level that shouldn't be possible. I'd like to tell you about my week, but not much has happened. i've just been relaxing and waiting. Logan somehow got himself grounded for a month, and someone in Easton's family got exposed. And everyone else is keeping safe (wisely) and so i've just been kinda chillin here. I hope you're acclimating well, and I feel you're doing the work, and I know the Lord is watching over you. Hello brothers and sisters! I am blown away! My MTC went by so crazy fast! I fly out Tuesday morning to Bismarck and AH IM SO EXCITED! I love the MTC but you do hit a point when you want to get your feet on the ground and start running. I'm so lucky! I have 3 other missionaries in my district who are flying from SLC to Bismarck with me! It'll be fun to finally meet them!   I've had a lot of very sacred experiences this week. Lots of prayers that turn into miracles, hidden gems, many tears, but it's the cost of being a missionary. I am grateful to be a part of this work. The Lord works perfectly in everyone's lives. I know he works perfectly in mine. I am so grateful to have a prophet of the Lord to lead us. President Nelson and his message this week was exactly what the world needed. I felt complete peace as I watched. I know that he is the Prophet of the Lord. It makes too much sense. You cannot deny the evidence. We are in a time and place we were meant to be. ...

hey yall! I am truly in shock. How do I have one more week in the MTC?! This is going by way too fast! I LOVE being a missionary. It's that simple. It is the best thing I could do for myself. You hear all the time how hard missions are but you don't understand until you are set apart. Satan has a target on your back. But you fiercely say "Not Today". My ABSOLUTE favorite part of being a missionary is teaching God's children. I love watching the wheels turn in their head as we explain the true doctrine. We had the opportunity to teach quite a few people (they are advising that we don't call them investigators). These people are so open to the gospel. I wish I could stay in the MTC and follow through with them and their goals. I know they feel the spirit. Now just to act on Faith. I love ...
